Happy National Skilled Trades Day! Today we celebrate the incredible tradespeople who build, repair, create, and keep our communities moving. Skilled trades are the backbone of Niagara, and they’re also a huge part of the work we do at Goodwill Niagara.

Through our employment services and training programs, we help local job seekers gain the skills, confidence, and support they need to enter in‑demand trades and build meaningful careers. When you shop or donate with us, you’re directly supporting these life‑changing opportunities for people right here in our community.

Here’s to every skilled professional who keeps Niagara strong. We’re proud to play a small part in helping the next generation get there.💙

It's Teacher Appreciation Week, and we just really want to say thank you!

Here at Goodwill Niagara, we are so proud to have educators who embody that spirit every day. To Nicole, our Workforce Development Lead, Stephanie, our Culinary Arts Instructor, and Francisco, our Constructing Our Futures Instructor, thank you for your tireless commitment to empowering people to build better futures for themselves.

And from our Goodwill Niagara family to the entire educator community across our region, thank you to the teachers and staff of the Niagara Catholic District School Board, the Niagara District School Board, the professors and faculty at Brock University, and the instructors and staff at Niagara College. You show up. You care. And Niagara is a better place because of you.

We see you. We appreciate you. We celebrate you, today and every day!

As we step into Goodwill Week, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what this week truly represents, people coming together to create opportunities, open doors, and help neighbours build brighter futures.

Every donation, every purchase, and every shared moment of support fuels our mission to provide job training, skill‑building, and pathways to economic independence across Niagara. We’re grateful for a community that believes in the power of second chances and the dignity of meaningful work.

Here’s to a week that celebrates the good we can create together!💙🎉

Today we pause to honour the lives and memories of those we’ve lost.

Our hearts are with everyone in our community who is grieving, remembering, or holding someone close in spirit. We’re holding space for you, and we’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another with compassion and care. 💙

Thank you Brock Badgers!🧡 Your generosity during residence move‑out truly made a difference. Thanks to you, our donation initiative was a wonderful success and will go on to support individuals and families across Niagara.

We’re so grateful you chose to give back during an already busy time. We hope to do this again next year!

Last night, Goodwill Niagara was proud to attend the City of St. Catharines Volunteer Recognition Awards, a beautiful celebration of the incredible people who give so selflessly to make our community a better place.

We had the privilege of nominating Neil and Helen. These two individuals show up time and time again with open hearts, warm smiles, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

But the truth is, this appreciation extends far beyond last night. To every single volunteer who gives their time and shows up for our mission, thank you. The impact you make ripples through our community, creating change that goes far beyond what any of us could accomplish alone.

To the City of St. Catharines, thank you for creating a space to celebrate the people who give so much without asking for anything in return. Evenings like last night remind us just how strong and compassionate our community truly is.

Some of the most meaningful moments at Goodwill Niagara happen quietly, when a volunteer offers a smile, lends a hand, or shows up simply because they care.

To everyone who has shared their time with us over the years, thank you for helping turn our mission into real change for real people. Your compassion strengthens our community and opens doors that might otherwise stay closed. We’re deeply grateful for you.💙
