Goodwill Niagara:
Empowering our community through work and donations

This Thanksgiving, we`re taking a moment to reflect on the incredible community that makes our mission possible.

To everyone who donates, shops, works with us, participates in our programs, volunteers, and supports Goodwill Niagara in any way, thank you. 💙

Every donation given, every purchase made, every helping hand, and every act of kindness contributes to something bigger. Together, we`re creating opportunities, supporting local communities, and giving new life to people and things alike.

We are grateful for the trust, generosity, and support you`ve shown throughout the year. Your impact reaches far beyond our stores, helping to build a stronger, more connected Niagara.

This Thanksgiving, we celebrate you and the difference we`re making together.
From all of us at Goodwill Niagara, Happy Thanksgiving!

**Stores will be closed Monday Oct. 12, Seniors day will be moved to Tuesday Oct. 13!

Today, we joined our community in Niagara Falls to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to reflect on the truths of our shared history and the ongoing path toward reconciliation.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this gathering so meaningful. We are grateful to be part of a community that comes together to remember, learn, and move forward with respect.

Not every journey starts with a clear plan, and sometimes the best opportunities come from trying something new.

Our Building Futures Culinary Program gives participants the chance to learn hands-on kitchen skills, gain practical experience, and build confidence in a supportive environment. Along the way, participants develop valuable workplace skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving that can be applied far beyond the kitchen.

Swipe through to see some of the learning, growth, and hard work happening in the program. Every skill learned in a step forward, and every step can lead to new possibilities.

If you`ve been thinking about exploring a new path, this could be a great place to start.

This National Legion Week, we`re proud to recognize the incredible work our local legions do to support veterans and strengthen our communities.

This week, we had the pleasure of visiting the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24 in St. Catharines and sharing memories from when Goodwill Niagara and the Legion were neighbours at 111 Church Street. It was wonderful to see how their George Street location has grown into a vibrant community space with all three floors now welcoming events and gatherings.

We were also honoured to donate a collection of legion medals, pins, and caps that had been generously donated to our stores. Rather than selling these meaningful items, we work with community organizations to help preserve their history and legacy. We know they`ll have a special place on display at their new home.

Thank you to the volunteers and members who continue to serve, support, and remember. ❤️
